Lucy Gets Caught in the Draft

VIEW/BUY  EPISODE
The Lucy Show

Lucy receives a letter from the US Government and finds out that she's mistakenly been drafted. Instead of "Lucy," the letter is addressed to "Lou C." No matter what she says, the Marines won't discharge her until official orders arrive.

She sets off to the draft office to correct the mistake, but due to stupid "rules and regulations," Lucy finds that she has to become a Marine until the paperwork gets straightened out. She proceeds to make life miserable for her sergeant. When the official order does arrive, her replacement may be a bigger problem for the Marines then Lucy!

Special Notes: Jim Nabors makes a cameo appearance at the end, playing his Gomer Pyle TV sitcom character (1964-70).

Bloopers: There is a mistake in the first scene. Lucy receives a letter from her son, the first time he has been mentioned this season. Unfortunately, Lucy calls him "Jimmy" instead of "Jerry". Jimmy Garrett was the actor who played Jerry Carmichael.
