The Ricardos are playing host to the Mertzes and Bill and Lou Ann Hall, when suddenly another friend, Tom Williams, brings his knockout date, Eve Whitney.
A honey, the boys swarm around her, making fools of themselves - much to Lucy and Ethel's disgust. Lucy: "What's Eve Whitney got that we haven't got? Nothing! We've got just as much as she's got, only lots more!" Ethel: "Yeah, but all the 'lots more' is in all the wrong places."
They decide to take advantage of an offer for a free analysis at Phoebe Emerson's Charm School. Phoebe tests Lucy and Ethel who wind up with respective scores of 32 and 30 (out of a possible 100 points). The "uncharming" pair sign up for a full course.
Soon Lucy dons a sexy, black sequined gown to surprise Ricky. Even Ethel, wearing a tight-fitting, leopard-design dress, looks great, causing Ricky to ask "Who's that?" Fred: "Who's that? What's that?"
The girls demand a night out, and the boys hurriedly dress in outlandish garb (Ricky as a cavalier, Fred looking like Mr. Peanut) to show how "ridiculous" they look. They decide to go back to the way they were before: "four natural, lovable slobs."
Special Notes: Natalie Schafer, who played the charm school operator Phoebe Emerson, later went on to play Lovey Howell on Gilligan's Island.
