Lucy and Miss Shelley Winters

Lucy and Miss Shelley Winters

(featuring Shelley Winters)

Here's Lucy

Movie producer C.B. Wellborn hires Lucy to be a watchdog for his overweight star, Shelly Summers. Shelly has to overcome her compulsive eating due to her pre-filming jitters. She must lose fifteen pounds before the start of her next picture in two weeks or lose a lucrative movie deal, and Lucy is to make sure this happens.

Lucy moves in with actress Shelly to help her with a crash diet and becomes her personal trainer and life coach to the temperamental movie star.

Special Notes: Shelly Winters' dresses were padded to make her appear bigger then she really was. This is done so in the final scene, she appears thinner in her new black dress. In this episode Shelley Summer's brags about having two Oscars, Shelley Winters did in fact win two for Best Supporting Actress in the films The Diary of Anne Frank in 1960 and A Patch of Blue in 1966.
