The Lucy Show

Lucy accepts Audrey Simmons' offer to arrange a blind date for her because Audrey knows so many eligible bachelors.

The man is a doctor and an avid classical music fan and violinist, so Lucy feigns interest to please him. She wants him to believe she's as big a classical music lover as he is. When he meets Vivian, he is taken with her sincere interest in the music. He's even planning to play violin in Viv's benefit recital.

Lucy gets so mad she accidentally smashes his fingers in the piano lid. All of this occurs, of course, just before his charity music recital.

Special Notes: This is Mary Jane Croft's debut playing Audrey Simmons. The character is very close to that of her Betty Ramsey character on "I Love Lucy", but will be phased out by the third season. Mary Jane will return when the show's locale is moved from New York to California in 1965.
