The Atterburys decide to throw a Halloween surprise party for Liz and George, but Liz hears about their party and thinks that she and George just weren't invited. When she finds that she and George have not been invited to the neighborhood Halloween party she decides they are social spooks. The joke is on her when she plans a party of her own but the party turns out to be in their honor.
