Lucy and Viv decide to rent a room to people seeking hard-to-find lodgings due to the New York World's Fair in order to earn some extra money. Vivan having to stay in Lucy's room in the meantime. After discovering $8,500 stashed in Viv's mattress, Lucy thinks her friend robbed a bank.
They quickly realize the cash was heisted from Mooney's bank the night before by the two gentlemen who've been renting their room. Their boarders prove to be the bank robbers that hid their loot in the mattress. When the robbers return unexpectedly, Lumpy Lucy stashes the money in her sweatpants while Viv calls the cops.
