The Lucy Show

Lucy's childhood friend, Rosie Harrigan, is now the broke and widowed Countess Framboise. She comes to stay with Lucy while Viv is out of town visiting relatives. Status-conscious Mr. Mooney is greatly impressed with Lucy's childhood friend, especially her title as Countess.

They wrangle an invitation from Mr. Mooney to attend a meeting of his high society wine-tasting club, hoping for some great food and drink. The two guzzle wine on empty stomachs and end up getting sloshed.

Special Notes: Ann Sothern is written into the show to fill in for Vivian Vance when she is not on the show. Lucy and Ann use the same drunk bit they had done on both The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, episode #1, "Lucy Takes a Cruise to Havana" in 1957 and in The Ann Sothern Show in 1959. Notice, that by this time, there are no shows that really feature any of the children. They appear less in the show and will eventually be written out all together.
