The Lucy Show

As part of her work with the police department, Lucy is used as a decoy in the local lover's lane to catch a theif. Meter maid Lucy and handsome Detective Baker are matched up to masquerade as a Lovers Lane couple.

After spoiling the stakeout and scaring off the criminal on their first night, Lucy talks Viv into dressing as a man, masquerading as Green Scarf Louie, the next evening to help her redeem herself in a stakeout of their own. The problem is they never expected the real criminal to show up again with them on the stakeout.

Special Notes: It is never explained how Lucy moved from being a meter maid to being a member of the police department, or when she took any professional training. This might have been a good plot point for the show, having wacky Lucy hold a responsible job with Danfield's police department. However, the whole thing is dropped with no explanation.
