When a handsome truck driver, Chuck Willis, who resembles Robert Goulet comes to Mr. Mooney for a loan and is turned down, Lucy decides to help him.
She convinces him to enter a Robert Goulet look alike contest sponsored by a movie studio in order to win the needed cash. He loses the contest, but then again, so does the real Robert Goulet.
