The Lucy Show

Mr. Cheever's nephew Tommy is entrusted to Mr. Mooney and Lucy to show him the ropes around the bank, hoping to discourage him from entering show business. Though he's to get no special treatment, Mooney constantly sucks up to young man.

When Lucy finds out he has great singing talent, she arranges for a producer to come to the bank to discover him against Mr. Cheever's wishes. Tommy gets an impromptu audition, right in the bank lobby.

Special Notes: Singing idol Frankie Avalon is breaking out of his teen mold at this point, trying to appeal to adult music lovers the same way Bobby Darin and Connie Francis have done. Lew Parker is featured on the sitcom That Girl (1966-71) playing Marlo Thomas' restaurateur dad.

Bloopers: At some parts of the song "Walking Happy", you can hear Frankie Avalon singing, but his mouth isn't moving.
