The Lucy Show

George Burns visits Mr. Mooney at the bank to get his divident statements and meets wacky Lucy. She explains her unique filing system to Burns. He is so taken with her that he asks her to become his comedy partner in his show and grooms her to be the new girl in his nightclub act. Mr. Mooney, who thinks this is an opportunity to get rid of her, accepts being her agent.

The show opens in Santa Monica, where the new pair appear in a Burns and Allen style act. George Burns is the straight man and Lucy the comedienne, who delivers the punchlines. After a sensational opening they are offered a gig in Las Vegas. Lucy must now decide to either go into show business or stay with Mr. Mooney.

Special Notes: Jack Benny appears as himself in an uncredited voice-over (telephone) cameo.
