After buying a $59.95 dress without Ricky's permission, Lucy insists she'll get a job to pay for it. Unfortunately, Mrs. Ricardo discovers she's unqualified for the jobs listed in the "Times"; stenographer, bookkeeper, cook, lady wrestler.
Lucy quips, "this is terribly unfair. Apparently you can't get a job in this town unless you can do something!"
A baby-sitting job, paying a whopping five dollars an hour, sounds perfect, until she discovers that it isn't an infant she'll be sitting with but two rambunctious eight-year-old identical twin boys, Jimmy and Timmy Hudson.
Practical jokers, the boys nearly burn Lucy at the stake. When Mrs. Hudson calls from the beauty parlor asking if Lucy will take her sons to the Blue Bird Club Amateur Contest that night in her place, Lucy can keep the hundred-dollar prize money if they win, she agrees. With Ricky as the coincidental emcee, Lucy and the twins perform "Ragtime Cowboy Joe" and win the hundred dollars.
Special Notes: Jimmy's pet frog is named Elmer. The "Twins" Jimmy and Timmy Hudson are not actually twins, the two actors aren't even brothers.
