Lucy is excited about the possibility of living in California while Ricky makes a move: "Where do you want to live, Hollywood or Beverly Hills? The important thing is to find someone who can build us a swimming pool in the shape of a conga drum."
According to a story in Variety, Ricky is a "sure thing" to star in Don Juan, a $3 million color film. Lucy begins to have certain apprehensions when the story reveals: "Being considered for the female lead are such names as Marilyn Monroe, Ava Gardner, Jane Russell, Yvonne DeCarlo, Arlene Dahl, Betty Grable, and Lana Turner."
When Lucy becomes convinced that her minor "part" in Ricky's upcoming screen test will make her a big star, Ricky deflates her hopes by informing her she's needed only to "feed me the lines"; the back of her head is all that will be seen. Ethel: "Lucy, what are you going to do?" Lucy: "I don't know, but the back of my head isn't going to take this lying down."
During the screen test, she tries every method and means to get her face on camera, much to the director's growing annoyance.
Bloopers: During the screen test, you can see Lucy's kitchen behind the Director's head when he is scolding Lucy.
