Lucy gets jealous of the sophisticated ladies of the Danfield Art Society (which she and Viv want to join) because they all have maids. Lucy decides they must have a maid as well.
Determined not to be bested, Lucy goes to work as a maid for another society matron to pay for a maid for herself. Unfortunately, her first big project is to serve a dinner party being held for the members of the Danfield Art Society.
