THE LUCY SHOW

Mooney sponsors an all-girl basketball team comprised mostly of ladies from the Volunteer Fire Department. The team is so inept that Mooney wants to withdraw sponsorship rather than embarrass the bank.

Lucy elicits a promise from Mr. Mooney that if they win the next game, the sponsorship will continue. When she breaks training, Lucy is taken off the team, but still gets into the big game and helps her team win.

Special Notes: This script was never produced. Lucille had misgivings about filming the script. This would have been a very physical episode with stunt people and special effects. It seems to be a revamped version of episode #24, "Lucy Drives a Dump Truck", with Viv removing Lucy as captain of the team and punishing her for ruining the uniforms.
