The Lucy Show

The women's volunteer fire department team is challenged to a post-season game. Lucy and Viv end up participating in the post-season charity softball game. The ladies borrow uniforms from the Danfield High School's baseball team. Lucy's pants are so over-sized, she has to use the rope from her bathrobe to keep keep them up.

After being benched all year, Viv gets to play only because one of the women is expecting. Mr. Cresant, the team manager, doesn't put Lucy with the top squad because she plays so badly. When another teammate faints, they have no choice but to put the redhead on the field. Lucy is substituted and inadvertently becomes the heroine.

Special Notes: In the scene at the ballpark, with Lucy in the outfield, her hair is darker and much longer. That is because it is her own hair, which Lucille wore chin length in private life.
