I Love Lucy

Lucy and Ricky are scheduled to make a TV appearance on a "Person-to-Person" type interview program, "Face to Face," hosted by Ed Warren.

Since the show is to originate from the Ricardos' meager East 68th Street apartment, Ricky's new Associated Artists agent, Johnny Clark, suggests that the pair move to a more fitting abode on swanky Park Avenue.

Lucy, of course, does not want to leave the Mertzes, and vice versa. But with only good intentions in mind, Fred and Ethel deliberately pick a fight with the Ricardos hoping they'll pack up and move to a better address.

The ploy eventually results in an all-out fight, culminating in the severing of friendly relations between the two couples. The night of the TV show, the Ricardos and Mertzes try hard to be civil to each other, but another argument breaks out, on the air.

Special Notes: John Gallaudet (agent Johnny Clark) was one of William Frawley's closest friends and a pallbearer at his funeral in 1966. Ed Warren and his "Face to Face" show are parodies of actual TV interviewer Edward R. Murrow and his 1950s TV program "Person to Person."
